watch out all you south park fans!

I don't think this message will do any good but here goes; As you can see by my screen name, I am a loyal longtime fan of MST3K, and former fan of Comedy Central. I gave up on CC about a year after they cancelled MST I hate them so much that I don't think I could ever enjoy South Park. That's a shame because it seems like a show I would like.

They don't appreciate a hit show when they have one So don't get too obsessive and excited about it, cause if it dips in the ratings a tad, or if the fans become too much of a nuisance, they will yank it off the air.

In the meantime I will try not to hate it just because it's on CC. Now can anyone tell me a few things about it? Like is it a CC original show or did they discover it, air it and then take credit for it's genius? Are its creators anyone we know or are they newcomers?

I currently don't have cable so I can't see it, but if there was a way to watch it without benefitting CC, i'll definitely give it a shot

They are new to me, but I don't pay attesion much to the creators of shows, or even writers, so I'm not very helpful here.

Well, you always send blank tapes up here to Canada (where it airs on GLOBAL [now in it's uncensored versions]) and get someone to tape the episodes for you. But I only have 1 functioning VCR, sorry.

how exactly is CC benefitting by you simply watching the show on TV if you dont want to patronize CC then dont buy a mr hankey construction set

i bought one and it says on the back that half the proceeds goes directly to CC

I too love MST3K but I slightly understand the decision to let it go.
It had been a staple for many years, and was greatly responsible for
CC's success (that and AB FAB),  But the new lineup of shows programmed
in the new format is also appealing.  South Park I'm afraid might follow
the same pattern that MST3K and management may grow tired of it's
success too.  MST3K  needed a long time slot that led to the decision to
let it go.
