Does anyone know when this will be rerun?

"The Skeptical Inquirer" ran an article about this show, including the website where you can read the script.

It looks like it's destined to become a classic.

It's nice when the rest of the world starts to catch up with SP :)

Some of you seem to dig up things that are difficult to find out.

(BTW, Skeptical Inquirer is a magazine which investigates paranormal activity (fraud). They gave this episode a rave review. GREAT MAGAZINE).

I dunno. I'm a card-carrying skeptic (check my signature) but I thought it was extraordinary how far they went with the preaching.

For example, Stan didn't even act like Stan; he was far too sharp, and completely free of any doubt. He wasn't bemused or baffled by the follies of others; he was ANGRY.

The script seems to bear out my feeling that the creators of the show were saying, "Hi, this is Trey and Matt speaking. No, not our characters. We're not kidding, here. We are saying directly to John Edwards: you are the worst human being EVER."

There was very little subtlety in the polemic, which leads me to believe that they must really REALLY hate that guy.

Mind you, they DID do a good job showing how he would self-justify.

I kind of have to agree with him, Howard. I understand the need for some common-sense rules on newsgroups (e.g. "Don't have signatures that are ten lines high"), but what is the rationale for a standardized signature separator?

I have, however, removed a linefeed from my signature. Thanks for suggesting that I give it another look.

Uh, yeah. But typically characters are designed with some semblance of separation from the writers. Indeed, one common complaint about some writers is that their main character is "just him [or her] with another name". This kind of comment has been directed at, for example, Robert Heinlein.
