Ummm....having a suspect is not the same as having "the killer". And the Ramseys were under suspicion at the time, that wasn't something Matt/Trey came up with on their own. Additionally, no one has been convicted of anything yet. However it'll be interesting to see if an impartial and fair jury can be found that hasn't formed an opinion based on these breaking news stories.

I'm all for impartial juries, and in today's media age I don't think you can find anyone that has not heard about the case and formed some sort of opinion of it. If they say they haven't heard about it then they are lying or are retarded or in some way abnormal. Someone would have to be completely shut off from the real world to truly not have heard about the case, and I don't think you'd want someone like that judging you.

I thought the parents did it, too. It is the only logical explanation influenced by the local policy reports and the media.
Alot of us suspected the parents. It is almost like that was what we were suppose to do. It is conditioning. The media would not let up. It sounds like people are starting to have doubts about the suspect's story, so it might still be too early to draw any conclusions. This could get interesting.

What you're sayin' would be fine except the guy that's been arrested and has confessed to the murder has admitted to drugging and raping JonBenet although he claims her death was an accident. I read the reference that Captain Infinity posted when he started this thread, and it said that some news accounts had pointed the finger at the older brother. I guess anyone close to the family without a concrete alibi would be a suspect.
I've seen a few things on the news over the last couple of years where a bereaved spouse has appealed for someone to come forward with information about their partner's disappearance/murder, only for the same person to be on the TV a couple of days later charged with murder. I usually think that they're guilty anyway, and 9 times out of 10 (a figure I pulled out of my arse, so there's no point arguing) they are!! In this particular case, it appears that I was wrong...

I remember coming home and the chase was live on TV in Canberra, where I was living at the time. Without being armed with any facts, and not really knowing much at all about OJ, something just didn't add up. The subsequent trial threw up all sorts of unanswered questions so I've happily sat on the fence ever since, though leaning toward OJ's side.
