I think I remember seeing this cliche, hanging-over-a-cliff thing most recently in "National Treasure", but you can find it in Indiana Jones and a number of other action movies.

I remember seeing this cliche in some move, I just can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's an obscure reference from star Trek 3 where Kirk and the klingon are on the Genesis planet facing certain doom and the klingon is still trying to get kirk to give up the info on project genesis.

I think it's a reference to Cartman - how his mind works - and notice how Kyle just threw the bag behind him & ran to the chopper but Cartman was the money-grabbing freak who nearly missed the chopper... Cartman's messed up, he always has been
