Oh man.....

I suppose knowing Black Hawk Down and Three Kings rather well really helps with the enjoyment of this episode, but holy shit.

When I saw Santa was about to be taken hostage, I thought to myself, "Oh they HAVE to do the "My main man" thing from Three Kings." And they fucking DID. Holy shit, I almost died from laughing. no one else in the room got the joke, but that's the beauty of South Park, the occassional REALLY in joke that features a line that not many people will recognize.

LOVED the Jesus kicking ass part. I'm sure it'll piss off religious folks big time, but c'mon, what's better than hearing Christ say, "I'm packing," and then kill two Iraqis? Goddamn, man, that was brilliant.

And Kenny coming back......I knew they were gonna do that someday, but the timing was PERFECT in this one. Completely out of nowhere and nonchalant. JUST how I figured they'd do it.

This was the best episode ever.

Act 1 was really bad...but act 2 made up for it in a big way! South Park can go down the crapper and will still be good because of Act 2 in this episode...this episode has to be enshrined somewhere!

The funniest of the Christmas themed SP episodes! I loved the Three Kings and the Black Hawk Down references. Also, Jimmy's rendition of 12 Days was funny, too! It's cool to see Kenny and Mr. Hankey again.

The reason why Cartman wasn't ragging on Kyle was because he was trying to be good for Santa.

Kinda like "Kelly's Heros" with George Cloony instead of Clint Eastwood, Iraqis instead of Nazis and Gulf war instead of WW2.

Except more graphic and with more political commentary (In the film, one of the three is captured and interrogated, and at one point, his captor makes him drink oil after asking him why America is fighting the war).

Now, would someone remind me what movie the scene with the knife into one guard while shooting the other one came from? I've seen it before. I just can't remember it.

Oh, I didn't know that oil drinking thing was from Three Kings. Now it doesn't seem so funny anymore. It's never funny to just copy something straight from a movie, not unless its parodied in a clever way.

That wasn't exactly one of my favorite episodes.
