One of the more reliable movie sites I frequent just got word that the South Park flick has been pushed from April to June 11th, which puts it up against Austin Powers 2. Grrr.....

Totally! And, we didn't even get BASEketball until a loooong time after it was actually released, and then it didn't even stay long (like, for ONE WEEKEND!!!)...if they try any of that with the South Park movie, expect to see me rallying on the 6 o'clock news!!! ;P

Actually, BASEketball flopped because it was a horrible movie. The mere fact that it was created by the South Park creators wasn't enough to keep it afloat. The South Park movie, however, won't need to rely on the name recognition of it's creators, the recognition of the movie name and characters should be enough.
I'll go out on a limb right now and predict the South Park movie will
gross much more money than BASEketball.
