2nd week in a row SP suck ass

Thankgiving epp was lame, and this new Pip epp is hella-lame. I appreciate what they're trying to do, but geez it suck ass.

Personally, I thought Last Week's was good. Not great, but good. The turkey thing was funny, though the overacting Les Mes guy did get kinda annoying at times.

I thought the Thanksgiving episode was among the best! But the Pip one, I liked the surrealism of Malcolm McDowell narrating it, but it did kind of go zzzzzz.

I thought the "Great Expectations" one was excellent.. though, it sucked right up until the end..

It was perfect.. they followed the book exactly (with not much comedy) right till the end and then they hit us with the robotic monkeys. I haven't laughed that hard at South Park in a long time..

Granted, one might be tempted to call this a one joke episode, but.. what a joke!

Exactly. It was brilliant. I laughed through the whole last act and about 5 minutes afterword. Just the thought of Dickens really ending a novel that way still cracks me up.

I can see why some people didn't "get" the joke though.

it's as subtle as i've ever seen south park be. i think it's possible to argue that it's a little much to ask your audience to put up with twenty minutes of out-of-character not-so-funny stuff for a payoff at the end, but it was right up my alley.
