I care, I think the constant references to American popular culture and entertainment are what make the show so great. I'm not sure how they even translate the show for other countries, the references would just go over the heads of foreign audiences. I remember a show on Cartoon Network last year called Super Milk Chan that seemed so bizarre, but someone said that the reason it didn't make sense is that it was constantly referring to Japanese popular culture, so even though it was translated into English it wasn't funny.
