Following a successful experiment with “The Daily Show”, MTV Networks will make every episode of “South Park” available free online sometime next year, as part of the company’s wider distribution strategy “to reach consumers everywhere”

Thanks for the good news. If people have access to view the show on-line, surely the fan base will increase and more people will actually watch the show when it's on TV. It is very much a positive step.
Yeah, we need Comedy Central to see first run episodes, but the earlier ones are now available in syndication on free stations. I haven't watched too many of those, but I suspect they're edited for content and they definitely have a couple of minutes cut out to allow for more commercials in syndication. I'm not sure if I'd like seeing a first run of the shows without commercials--those breaks are valuable for getting more beer and draining beer by-product.
Depending on the particular brand of beer, often the line between the beer and the by-product is considerably blurred. Foster's, for instance, is considered to be the beer of Australia. I'm yet to meet an Aussie who drinks Foster's by choice, and I reckon it tastes like the by-product to which you refer.
South Park features on the Comedy Channel in Australia on a daily basis on pay-TV. I've actually seen a few Season 10 episodes multiple times on my Foxtel service, so I figure Season 11 can't be far away. Usually the first run on SBS (sans ads) is about 3 or 4 months after going to air in the US. Then they go to the Comedy Channel on a Wednesday night a bit after that, and then they just lengthen the cycle of South Park re-runs from episode 1 to the latest that they have on pay-TV on weekdays and weekends (which doesn't leave much time for a rest).
It's been about 5 years since I saw a "first release" episode on the telly. I used to be primed and ready on a Monday night for the SBS transmission but I now get them via bit torrent about 4 hours after they go to air in the US. By Thursday afternoon Aussie time, it's usually a done deal! I can pretty much recite an episode by the time it appears on the slightly bigger screen these days.
Here are some instructions which may improve your life if the shows are ever run without commercials.
If you have a TiVo: Use the "pause" button to get beer and drain beer.
If you don't have a TiVo: Without commercials, an episode of South Park is about 20 minutes. Pee before the episode starts, and have a small cooler with beer beside you on the couch for when you run out of beer. If you can't go 20 minutes without peeing, move the TV into the bathroom.
