SP tapes on May 5

I just pre-ordered the six-episode SP tapes coming out May 5. What I'm wondering is, will they be uncensored? Anyone heard anything about it?

How do you know the tapes will be uncensored? Has anything official been announced yet? I noticed in both the Time and Newsweek articles this week, the tapes weren't even mentioned...

I'd like to hear what Kyle screams, too, but I think it's more fun they way it is. Solid bleeping with short breaths in between? That's classic!!

One of the first things one learns in any drama class, writing class or I assume production class is, the principle that less is more. If you have what you need, adding in something extraneous like adding redundancy to a script or narrative, is an insult to your audience.

In the case of just about all the bleeps on South Park, removing them won't add anything. If anything, we'll be disappointed if we hype it too much. They'll take it out and either we'll have already known what was under them, or it won't satisfy any particular need we have. Do we really need to know exactly what Kyle said to the visitors? Do we really need to know where the sports last saw that many children being molested? I don't think so. I could give a rat's ass. For all I care, Kyle could have been saying "You know what you meanies like? You like to run with scissors, and not say 'thank you', and cross the street without using the crosswalk." "Wendy, what's a crosswals?"

In fact, is there anything we think Comedy Central is hiding from us after all this time? Is there anything we think we HAVEN'T snuck out of Comedy Central by now?

I couldn't agree more about Kyle's monolouge in Cartman Gets An Anal Probe. It wouldn't be nearly as funny if the debleeped it. Now, if they _did_ put in something like 'You alien punks don't play well with others!', that'd be funny as hell. But only because we knew it had previously been bleeped.
