Nope, they never did go to fifth grage. Ms. Choksondik was their fourth grade teacher when they got to fourth grade (ep 412), and she died when Butters went nuts (ep. 607).

You're one grade too high. The went from 3rd to 4th.

Speaking of the 4th grade, they used lots of stock-footage from a live-action movie in the 4th grade opening credits? I wondered from which movie they used the stock-footage?
