New South Park Club for fans from Europe!
Unless there are several animated versions of South Park being produced that we don't know about, all the issues in the show are American. It's an American show. How will having a club where one European explains American situations to a bunch of other Europeans help. Sounds real lame and just another example of the European need to feel superior to the Yanks. It's our show but it takes a European to explain the finer details! Yeah, right.

There are people in Europe who don't like to read the traditional newsgroups for the simple reason that these contain spoilers for episodes they haven't seen yet. In Holland, where I live, the only way to watch South Park is getting subscibed to an overprized paychannel. Next month will be the premiere of the show on national public broadcasting. Can you imagine that? They will start with Cartman's Anal Probe and a whole bunch of people will see South Park for the first time in their lives. Those people do not need a club with discussions about episode 310, but one which starts from scratch. So I DON'T think American and European situations are alike.

No, I'm not going to explain South Park to the people of Europe. I'm not mr. Garrison. What I'm going to do is talk with other fans about our specific interests and needs. There's no teaching involved in that.
And no, I'm not alone anymore. Some people who DO think a European club is a good idea have joined me.
No, I don't think Europeans are superior to Yanks (as YOU called them). It takes a pretty screwed up little mind to assume such a thing.
And finally: no, it isn't YOUR show!!! South Park is a show for every man or woman on this planet who can recognize the characters and feel like they feel! One doesn't have to be an American to be able to think: "yeah, that could have been me..." when you watch Stan, Kyle or Cartman.

I say bring back the Vietnam war. Hell, it kept the defense industry alive. If Vietnam is out of the question, then we have a perfectly good piece of real estate north of us going to waste.
