It was a good episode, not the best but it was good. I missed half the MJ episode, need to see that in full.
This show never gets old, the guys do a GREAT job staying topical. Never ending supply of ranking material!

The way I see it, the episode is probably meant to be a satire at the issue of many Americans being out of a job due to people in foreign countries (i.e. Mexico) are able to do the same job for less the money.
I definitely agree with you guys that this episode was weak. Face it, unlike most of the weird beings that appear in South Park, the Goobacks lacked personality, something that made the other weird being that visit South Park hilarious.

What do people look for in southpark exactly. Ive always watch southpark for their silly sense of humor and i think thats what its intended for, making people laugh. Whats with these smart asses wtching the show looking for "points". That said, i think last night's ep blew, I did like he "they took your job" shit htough.

My comments on this:
MJ: Rather than do the obvious "Michael doing little kids" parody, the boys took a different approach and focused on Michael in another manner: how his dream of living the childhood that he never had is affecting his son in a negative manner.
Mel: I don't think Trey and Matt hate Mel (after all, they did spoof Braveheart and Mad Max in other episodes of the show), I think it's more to do with them viewing "The Passion" as a movie rather than a religious experience (with their personal opinions of the film being in the form of Stan and Kenny). As for the way they depicted Mel: I think Trey and Matt were trying to get the point across that while "The Passion" does have a religious meaning to some people, the director also has a comical side as well (as seen with his interest in the Three Stooges), with the comical side of him suggesting that you shouldn't take the film WAY too seriously (aka when it comes to Christianity, the real focus should be the teachings and miracles of Jesus, not the way he died and who's responsible for it).

Not funny. Even worse than the "DAMN MONGORIANS" line being repeated 30 times in one episode. Just not funny.
Usually when the show has something to say politically or about society in general, it's done in a smart, humorous manner. It was just boring this week.
