Unoriginal fanfics?? Have I gone mad?

Well, not really, but I'm close.

You see, folks, posting fanfics is probably fun for you. And I respect that. But for God's sake, some of you can't write. Come up with something original!

I'm not even going to go into the subject of Doc (you all know him), but you get the idea. I don't want a five part fanfic about the visitors. There is always something new in every South Park episode, and that's exactly what I expect. Also, some of you ruin the fun!! You take no time to come up with an original and elaborate Kenny death. And a final note:

Why do some of you *tone down* your 'fics? Many people, as I, want lots and lots of adult overtones, sex, and language. That's what South Park's all about! I don't like reading a 'fic that looks like it's been edited for network TV, full of @$es and f****s. Say the WORD! Don't edit!!! Whew, that's it. I'm done. And here's my favorite quote once more:

Well, at least I have that on my side. I don't censor anything.

Nah. Not you. Probably just me. Cause my fanfics usually suck. And I used aliens, since I didn't know they were a big part of the show since our area just got Comedy Central so I only saw a few eps so far.

No they don't! After and before the alien thing your 'fics were original, and *all* of them were entertaining.

Yes, but the alien and 'another girl steals Stan' plots were done in a completely original, clever, etc. way with you writing it. So don't diss yourself.

<breathes sigh of relief> Thanks! I'm very concerned about what people think of my fanfics, since I plan on writing tv shows and books or whatever when I'm out of school, and these fanfics are a start on it for me, to come up with stuff people will like. So I tend to criticize my work alot, working for perfection.

That's good! :) The way some people were talking, though, it was as if my fanfics were *exactly* the same as the show was. So I had the impression that what I did was way too similar to what was done on the show or something. And I'll stop dissing myself now :)

*Some* people watch South Park because it is *entertaining*. *Little kids* like South Park because it curses. And concerning saying the curse words, well, I can only speak for myself, and I actually *would* say the words without censoring them (and I have occasionally) but, to confess, at times I feel a bit uncomfortable doing so. Don't ask me to explain it. I don't know why. As for original..first, the Visitor plot can have 1000 concepts, 1000 plots, 1000 sub-plots, and 1000 endings. Not to mention millions of ways to kill Kenny. And this rings true for many things that have already been thought of. I leave you with my own quote, and I probably butchered it beyond belief, but I don't care.. "Everything has already been thought of. The trick is thinking of it again."

I have a bit of a trouble when I write my fanfics, because I haven't seen all of the shows, nor do I *know* about most of their plots, as our area just got the channel a few weeks ago. So, if there's any overlapping, similarities, etc. I'm *not* doing it on purpose. That would be stupid. Why would I want to rewrite the show??? There would be no purpose in that, except pissing everyone off, and I *don't* want to piss everyone off. So something that's original to me may not be original to you, because I am new to South Park. So, please don't kill me.

Dammit. This was directed at me (except for the Doc part). And about the visitors, I didn't realize they were actually a big part of the story on that SP episode, until *very* recently. As I had understood, from a friend, an alien just gave Cartman an anal probe, and that was the end of the aliens (A misinformation here) But, as I said, I talked to a more knowledgeable friend, who told me the *whole* thing, and I kicked myself for concentrating on aliens in my fanfic. If I knew the aliens were pretty central there, and didn't just pop in for 2 seconds, I woulda done something different (like an attack by a bunch of mutated leather-underwear wearing hedgehogs from France). But aliens *do* pop up in numerous tv shows, movies, commercials, etc. so it's *not* a new thing to write something about aliens. It's what you have them up to and what that results in that makes it original (were there any anal probes or cows in my fanfic? Nope!) So, from now on, before writing a fanfic, I'll be sure to consult my reliably South Park oriented friend first. As for the Kenny deaths, I'm trying here, so maybe it'll be more interesting in my current fanfic.

Well, this one doesn't have anything to do with me <whew!>. I *used* to tone things down, but it sucked so I don't anymore!
