SP Closed Captioning

Got around to watching Goin' Down to South Park last night, and when it broke for commercial (to promote SP: BLU) I noticed the CC showed: "Fuck, dude, I want to be just like Terence and Phillip. You're all a bunch of ass-raming, uncle fucker." (This stayed on the screen during the next 20 or so second shampoo commercial--or whatever it was.)

Anyone else notice this, or other instances?

Sometimes they talk so fast or can't tell what they are saying and the CC helps, but first time I noticed anything like the above.

interesting. those lines are from the movie. when they leave the theater after seeing asses of fire the first time, the dialog goes something like this:

kyle: that movie was fucking sweet!

cartman: you bet your fucking ass it was!

stan: fuck, dude, i want to be just like terrance and phillip!

the second line occurs shortly afterwards, when they're telling all the other kids that they just saw the terrance and phillip movie.

Hmm...

The South Park:BLU advertisement must have played that scene from the movie, and your TV happened to catch the closed-captioned line.

It's a result of quick, lazy editing in which Comedy Central didn't remove the closed-caption datastream from the video when they were making the advertisement.

Also, the reason it stayed on for 20 seconds is because the TV decoder didn't recieve another line of text (possibly because the shampoo commercial wasn't closed-captioned).
