Any possibility of this affecting South Park?

Any possibility of it engendering a South Park episode?

(Uh... Maybe this was what "Imagination" was all about?)

Looks like it won't have an effect, now. Tonight's episode is the last one in the latest cycle. I was worried about that a couple of weeks ago, given SP's penchant waiting until almost the last minute to do a show. Since Trey Parker seems to do all the writing, I was wondering if he'd honor the strike by not doing the last two episodes. I don't really know how a Hollywood writers' strike works, so maybe there's a different set of rules for writers who are also the executive producers of their shows. Whatever the case, I'm glad it didn't affect SP, although I sure wish there were a few more episodes before it goes back to reruns. Seven is not enough!

Actually, this should have absolutely no effect on South Park whatsoever. It was announced just a few weeks before the strike that Matt and Trey received full rights to all future media of South Park. It is this exact topic over which the writers are currently striking.
