hello and a few ?'s/comments

hi everyone

i'm new to this newsgroup although i've been watching SP since the first episode and i want to say hello. i'm 18 and was wondering what the median age of this NG was...college kids or what?? seems like a good NG, especially the fan-fiction. i had no idea SP fans did stuff like that, i've only had experience with similar things through x-philes.....

also, i loved BASEketball! i'm not saying it was a masterpiece or anything, but it wasn't trying to be. i think it's the funniest movie i've seen in a LONG time and definately the funniest one i've ever seen at the theatre. (and 20 times better than "there's something about mary", in my opinion) i was disappointed to learn it was #11 last week at the box office. all the reviews i've read have been mediocre at best but at least the critics admit they laughed the whole time. don't people ever go to movies just to laugh anymore? i was wondering, is there a script online, maybe the original script? because it seems to me like a lot of dialogue was ad-libbed, and i've read that the kissing scene was trey and matt's idea as well (i thought it was great, btw), and i didn't know they were such cuties!

and yet another question--how easy is it to get a hold of a bootleg copy of "the spirit of christmas"? i know there must be somebody on here that has it and is willing to share :) please let me know.

I did a search on Yahoo and found a fan site with links to it. You could probably do the same. I think the Comedy Central web site still has it online as well.

There was an article on them in our local paper, and Matt said that he inserted (no pun intended) the tongue on his own initiative. He said that he just blanked out his mind, did it, and then said, "Well, everyone thinks we're gay anyhow." Then he went into a very funny rant about how they have a girlfriend, well, not one girl for both of them, they each have a girlfriend ...
