Hello everybody- I was reading the Entertainment Weekly from 2 weeks ago (Ally McBeal Cover) and in the letters section some bitch wrote:
"South Park Rules? Isn't it getting beat out by Rugrats?"
I think she included her e-mail address (I say all us alt.tv.southpark readers send her hate mail or something) but Im not sure. so if anyone knows that bitch's e-mail address, let me know cuz I lost the issue.

DO NOT Mailbomb someone for having an opinion. It is STUPID, it is WRONG, and, depending on where you are, it may very well be ILLEGAL. It will definitely cause you to LOSE YOUR ACCOUNT.

According DejaNews, you haven't been around too long. When you've been around as long as I have, you'll notice a trend just about everywhere you go. For the most part (with, of course, exceptions all over the place), posts from both AOL and WebTV are usually incoherent, trolling, flamebait. I have quite a few friends who have WebTV, but every single one of them is looking to get off of WebTV because of the reputation associated with that ISP.
As with all groups, generalizations will usually fail in individual cases. If you are not one of the people who write the types of posts listed above, then, obviously, you don't fall into that catagory. So, you shouldn't feel offended. The proper course of action is to get people to notice you by your posts in a positive manner. Ask your friends, or any newsgroup of your choice, the general reputation of WebTV users.

Now, for someone who has almost 200 articles in DejaNews' current archive (12/18/97 to current), PaSC should know better than to flame someone based solely on their .sig file. For PaSC's sake, I hope that this isn't a spilling over of the Star Trek vs. Star Wars amnity that seems to be more and more prevalent in Usenet.
The fact that you completely ignored the fact of my posts (that mailbombing someone simply for having an opinion is WRONG as well as possibly ILLEGAL and definitely in VIOLATION OF the TERMS OF SERVICE contract that you have with your ISP), either means that you missed the point of my post (unlikely) or that you are simply flaming me for no reason except that I like Star Wars (which, though entirely possible, makes no sense at all).

I have been on-line for nearly five years. I do not have a web page (I have no need for one as of yet, besides, anything that I would put up on it can be found elsewhere anyway. Why clutter up the Web with another useless page?). I am in the fourth year of a five year program in the Management and Technology program at the University of Pennsylvania, going for my BSE in Computer Science and my BS in Marketing.
I like Star Wars, Star Trek, Quantum Leap, Sliders, South Park, and the Simpsons, as well as a lot of other stuff.
And who I am is someone who still believes that mailbombing is not the solution to anything, let alone for someone having an opinion. Nearly everything that passes through e-mail or Usenet can be traced back to the original sender if a qualified person decides to backtrack through the distribution headers, which cannot be forged (everything has to pass through some server eventually).
It is just the wrong solution to any problem.
I hope that this clears everything up.
