This sucks...I was all hyped about it being out next week (27th) and now this.

According to Zubanski, it was 18 Jan 1999 20:15:59 GMT when [email] (NewRajaX) approached him in the old spaghetti factory. Zubanski then makes the dubious claim of being handed a letter containing the following text:

Sorry, on the PC side of the industry, games are never completed and held back in order to hype the product. What usually happens is that the game is released *way* too early, or the game lags in the development cycle and won't be done until later than expected.

If the game is moving from a 1/27 release date to a 2/17, that sounds like they found some last minute bugs, plan on squashing them, and then go ahead and press the CDs. With about 2-3 weeks to press the CDs and make it to stores, that means they got about 2 weeks to iron out the bugs if they want to make the 2/17 ship date.

I'm writing up something about another game of theirs, but I'll drop a note to see what's up...

Too bad they delayed the SP game, I was gonna try it on my P233/Voodoo1 to see if I could really get 70fps but my new parts will be here in a week, I can't wait to try it on my P2-400 (256mb ram, Voodoo2, TNT).

oh... s3 always produces suxk chips... however, savage 3d seems saved herself, at least people buy it, and the comments are not all negative.

IMHO, the brand is not the main factor when comparing with the chipset of it, some display cards of renowned brands aren't worth buying while their prices are double of other brands' cards with SAME chipest! the only differance is the speed of RAM and the construction of the network, these only account for a slight increase of speed performance.

just change that ATI Rage 3D rubbish in this moment, every display card available in the market is better than it, even the cheapies, like SiS 6326 or Savage 3D... (sorry for my off topic...)
