It never occurred to me until that Mr. Hankey episode, that there really aren't that many songs about Santa. Santa sang one in the duet, "Up on the House Top" (or whatever the title is) and I was able to think of two others, namely "Here Comes Santa Claus" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." What is the fourth? Rio?
Only four songs about Santa?

And of course, Santa makes a cameo appearance in "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer".

Wellll...if we want to count some unconventional Christmas songs, there's always...
"The Night Santa Went Crazy" -"Weird Al" Yankovic There's also 2 that I know of by the Bob Rivers Comedy Corp.."The Chimney Song" and "I'm Dressin' Up Like Santa When I Get Out on Parole"
And, from the wonderful movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas"...
Santa gets a mention in "The Town Meeting Song" "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" (although Santa is mistaken for a big lobster in this song <g>) "Oogie Boogie Song" (basically Oogie Boogie is planning on cooking Santa for dinner..^_^)
Santa's got plenty of songs..hell, there's this website out there with all sorts of other unconventional Christmas songs with many about him..but not many people really know about 'em..neither does Santa! ;)

Um, right. I commend you for your exhaustive effort, but I think we're really looking for the more traditional songs that most people would know. "Santa Claus go Straight to the Ghetto", for example, is one that some folks *might* not know all the lyrics to.

These don't sound like nice wholesome traditional titles to me, boys! We all know that the only TRUE songs about Santa are "white" music and predate those uppities negroes of the civil rights movement!!

Wilson (Australian). The album is "Kev's Back (The Return of the Yobbo)" a mid-eighties swear-fest (ah, we loved our vulgarity, even then). It contains the BEST Santa Song of all: "Hey Santa Claus". Unfortunately I can only recall the opening lines: "Hey Santa Claus, you f***ing c*nt, where's my f***ing bike? I've been through all this shit you left, and there's nothing here I like"
around the dusty retro-pit that is my tape collection and get all the lyrics. Good ole Kev's got other such gems on this album as "The Pubic Hair Song" and "Kev's courtin' song" which goes: "Do you f**k on first dates? Does your dad own a brewery? Can I see your tits? Will you show 'em to me?" Lovely chap, our Kev. But still a great (if somewhat obscure) Santa Claus song none the less.
