Does anyone know the reason for the defunct Braniff ad at the end??

The creators of South Parks production company is called Braniff. They bought the rights to the name and the associated ad and play it at the end of the show as a stinger for their production company. C. Corder Howard DGA15 98 S-10 SS Fliegen ist nicht der grï¿½ï¿½te Thrill, Landung ist.

Braniff Airlines is the name of Trey and Matt's production company. The real airline went out of business long enough ago that the name and the little video bumper are no longer protected by copyright, so M&T picked it up to be funny.
