What is the Cartman family's primary source of income? Mrs Cartman doesn't appear to work, there is no ex-husband supporting them, we can reasonably ascertain from Cartman's attitude to state handouts, that the family is not dependant thereon...

Well, those were the lines I was thinking along. However, there doesn't seem to be a very steady stream of clients for her though, given that she seems to spend a significant proportion of the day on domestic chores and mothering Cartman to land him with the semi-oedipoean dependancy complex he appears to have.
Possibly she has had a few affairs with high-profile people, and earns money from blackmailing them.
