sorry if this has all been covered before, but i'm pretty new to this group (just recently got a decent ISP that's not a shell account where i'd have to use tin to view newsgroups -- gargh) . . . so my question is this: what's the age range of people on this group? i was just wondering because i know people of all ages like south park. my parents like it (well, i have to pre-screen the episodes and approve them for their viewing). some of my students like it. well, i was just wondering who is on this group?

It's a great job at first, but gets real annoying after a while. It's hard maintaining you're cool with kids who bug you all day for video games. I'm not as outspoken like the fellow in clerks, though I wish I was sometimes.

Oh yeah, my ex worked at a Blockbuster for a few months and he hated it because many of the customers were pricks, not understanding the return policy and stuff.

I, too, am a writer--I'm *almost* done with my first book, and I will get it published...eventually (first I gotta finish it, then I gotta find where to send it). Well, never ever give up. That's the best thing to do! I have also won a few essay contests before, and I even got to read one on TV! :)

Uh uh.

A couple states have younger ages of consent.

The federal law just applies to transporting minors (under 18) across state lines for immoral purposes. That is to say, if the legal age in Iowa is 16 (which I'm not sure of) and the legal age in Illinois is 18, (which it is), it's technically illegal to transport someone a 17 year old from IL to IA explicitly to have sex with her/him.

It's also the punchline to a really awful joke. (He was arrested for transporting mynahs across staid lions for immoral porpoises.)

I thought thats what it meant, the question is (for all you legal peoples) if one lives in a state (lets say CA, just because) that legal age is 18, and the minor lives in a state where they are legal, if the act happened in the state were said minor was legal does the adult get in trouble? Kiliki, don't feel old! May I ask where in AZ you are? I just moved from there a year and a half ago. I know Phoenix got Comedy Central this year, because we didn't get it when I left. Thank goodness, I left though, cuz now I've been able to watch SP from the beginning. :)
