I thought the infinite repetition of this was an attempt to annoy the shit out of the audience (a la "Was it ... Chef? Officer Barbrady? The 1991 Denver Broncos?" in "Cartman's Mom is Still a Dirty Slut"), and it worked pretty well on me. But I kinda like it when Matt & Trey annoy the shit out of me. Good episode.

Secondarily, it was commentary on how easy it is to convince the people en masse of something (oblique) by simply repeating it. There's nothing innately annoying about the clip but showing it repeatedly makes us *think* that the clip itself and not the repetition is annoying. The point here is that the same rules apply but with different goals for the Condit/Ramsey/Simpson stuff.

I believe it was when Butters was looking for his Dad. He passed by what I recall being a football player who was talking. He was interupted in mid-sentence by a scene change.
