I just want to point out there is a FAQ on Taison Tan's site, but it sucks.

If you look at the alt.tv.simpsons FAQ, you'll see a real FAQ. With maintainers and everything, information about the creators and voice artists, etc.

Not one of the people who felt the need to post replies to my request realized that it was posted in jest. ( I take that back, P3DaysOut almost saw the emotion I was attempting to touch... as his reply ended with the following ***I can't believe I answered all these questions, I guess since it's Christmas...Bob, we need that FAQ!!! I'll help if you need it.***

Each of the statements/questions have been posted here too many times to keep count, and it was my frustration with seeing them day in and day out that made me write them down. So please, no more responses are needed, just realize that this group will never get better until there is a legitimate FAQ and all newcomers are aware that the questions that are burning inside of them have been asked and answered multiple times here already.

And Pete, I HAVE been here from the beginning and I feel the same way you do, I just don't feel the need to put someone down in the manner you did. I HAVE READ this newsgroup from the start, and NO I DON'T go around with a list of questions, so save the attitude for someone else.

2) Soxmas is what started it all. It is a short film made by Trey Parker and Matt Stone(The creators, etc. of SP) which was made as a bizarre Christmas greeting sort of film. It stars Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny(who may or may not die, I won't tell) along with Jesus, Santa and an appearance by Brian Boitano. It kicked so much ass that people kept copying it and giving it to other people(including 700 sent to people by the Gay Dog episode's Geoge Clooney) until some TV people saw it and the rest is history. Everything is pretty much the same except Cartman's voice is a little different and the language and subject matter are pretty fucking explicit if you are offended by things like Santa Claus calling Jesus Christ a "fucking pussy".

3) I think you are the only person on this NG who doesn't have all on tape. Click "next subject" now and you'll probably find some asshole polluting the group with an ad for South Park on VHS.

4) I wish someone would tell me what a binary is(seriously). Apparently they piss people off as much as rainbows.

8) In the Hr. Hankey ep? Only the Creators know. I agree with those who say it was too early in the series to not kill him, but who are we to disagree with the best show on TV since Step by Step.

9) This question is subjective. Only the individual can make his or her own judgement about a work of art. In other words, South Park kicks Beavis and Butthead's ass.

10) Since I stopped watching Ren & Stimpy after creator John Kricfalusi left and the show became much less ass-kicking, I don't know whether or not they had an ep about magic feces. Even if they did, who knows whether Trey Parker came up with the idea independently or not. He is a pretty creative dude. Regardless, Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo is one of the funniest, most innovative and repulsive things I've seen on TV in a long time.

12) Prior to Soxmas they did another short where the SP kids inadvertently(sp?) create an evil Frosty the Snowman. I've never seen it, but I saw the script on a SP site. If I remember right, the boys enlist the talents of our Saviour to destroy the diabolical snowman. Apparently Kenny is not in this but a character called Kenny who looks like Cartman is in it and dies.

A binary (or binary file) is a sound file or picture file that some idiots post here in alt.tv.southpark instead of alt.binaries.southpark where they belong. You see, some people don't have unlimited access to the Net and they have to pay by the hour (or sometimes minute) and to save time, they download usenet groups and read them offline. Well if there are a bunch of large binary files that some pig((*%&*^^& sent to the wrong group, then they could end up with huge bills. Just stick to discussion here, and post your binary files to alt.binaries.southpark. If you can't access that group, send your ISP an email and ask them to pick it up.

I would suggest making a .sig file (or signature file) which includes your URL and a brief (VERY brief) description. That way you don't add to the problem of hundreds of one line messages saying "my sight rools come see it".
