Unfortunately, I live in a very small town and BASEketball is ALREADY out of theaters here!! Please someone tell me it's still in theaters in larger cities. It'll be worth the 30 minute drive to a real city for me to go see it again... and again.. and again..

Well, I live in FL in the not-so-big-not-so-small town of Coral Springs and last time I checked it was still playing...and I checked 2 days ago! Lucky for me, so I can see Trey's butt a few more times...I mean...oh nevermind...:)

well, i WAS going to go see it. i live in orlando, fl, a pretty big city, i guess. it was in a theatre just a 5-minute drive away, and now if i want to see it i have to go all the way to ocoee or south brevard!!!

I live in New York City.
BASEketball played here on three screens, for exactly 2 weeks.
As of Friday Aug. 14, it's nowhere in all of the five boroughs. I tried to go see it this weekend for a 5th time, but it was nowhere to be found within an hour of Midtown.

It'll depend on which city you're aiming at. For example, it's still playing in San Francisco (although only the largest in-town muiltiplex; the other screenings are in suburban spots and drive-ins). But I hear (second-hand) that it's already gone from some similar-sized cities. Best way to find out for sure may be to check <http://www.movielink.com> and instead of your own zipcode, use the one of your nearest city.
Apparently there just ain't that many SP fans who will go to see anything just because M&T are involved. This is the reason it's gone:
Here in Cincinnati it is already out of the theaters but we have Central Parke 11 cinema a few minutes away from where I live. We can go see a movie for $2.00. Movies start showing there a few weeks after they have been taken out of the theaters and about a month before they are released on pay-per-view or video. Now it's showing Titanic, X-Files, City of Angels, Woo, Can't Hardly Wait, and a few others I can't remember right now. One of the movies they're showing now was just released about two weeks ago so it must have been a huge bomb. Since BASEketball is out of theaters it might start showing over there by this Friday.
Doesn't anyone else have discount cinemas in their town or is this something unique to Cincy? I never heard of them until I moved here.
