I never truly realized how good the animation of South Park was until I saw that poorly done, stupid spoof on MAD TV. No wonder no one watches that show.

Geez...the whole point of the Peanuts-South Park thing is to see what would happen if you combined the two. So what if the characters didn't look all the great, the show isn't about animation. Of course, if you never saw any Peanuts cartoons, you're not going to get the jokes in the skit.

I didn't even crack a smile through the whole thing. Usualy the animated bits on Mad TV are hillarious, like The Disgrunteled Rudolph thing they did last year. (is that the way you spell disgrunteled?)

A parody is hard to pull off, but MAD made another classic by blending in the two cartoons of South Park with Peanuts in order to get what would happen if the two groups mated.

SOUTH PARKNUTS

Charlie Brown is talking to pigpen

pigpen - you're a blockhead charlie brown. cb - well youre a filthy [beep] pigpen - am not. cb - you're such a filthy [beep] that when you walk down the street, people go god, damn, that kids a filthy [beep]!! (Pigpen leaves) Lucy - hey charlie brown, i gotta idea. how about if i hold the ball & you come and kick it! cb - you're just going to pull it away and i'm gonna fall on my ass. lucy - i promise i won't pull it away this time. cb - ok. (goes ack, makes a face like "Evil Frosty from SOXMAS & runs He hits it, but the "football falls over" cb - that wasn't a football, that was dog [beep]. lucy - ha ha woah, that pile of dog [beep] looks like the profile of golden globe winning actress linda blair. it's a sign from god.i'm the chosen one, i'm the new messiah!!!(runs off) cb - good grief, what a sick bitch.

next scene - Lucy by 'shloder"

lucy - so, shloder, did you know god has selected me to lead all of you on to the gates of heaven? You have to worship me & build me a temple!(Sloopy comes up & starts humping her) lucy - don't you wanna worship me? you're not Jewish lick Charlie Brown? shloder - thats right. (leaves) lucy - screw you buttmunch!! (realizes sloopy) Eew.. ahh yuck, get the medecine!! I've been humped by a dog!!!!!!

next scene - school & CB is in front of class spelling a word.

teacher - ~~~~~~~~~~ cb - (spelles the word) class - laughs. teacher ~~~~~~~~~~ cb - i am not a blockhead!! i'm small-bodied. (lucy, peppermint pattie & violet come in) lucy - attention! your god commands you to attend the world ??? after school. dress will be casual.

next scene - cb & slinus walking

cb - whata up with your sister? shes saying she's god slinus - ~~~~~~(kenneylike) cb - yeh, you're right. she is a fatass! lucy - its time to get gone people! this punch will take us to the promised land! kid - here you go.(gives her cyanide pills in a cup) lucy - (shaking the cup) - Wow, all that cold hard earned cyanide!! wow!! "chef kid" - this punch is strong children. it's got a kick. like making sweet love. cb - this is [beep]ed up. they're all gonna kill themselves! we've gotta do something! (slinus goes over by violet who takes his blanket. he turns & peppermint pattie cuts him in half with a chainsaw) cb - oh my god, they've killed slinus! you bastards!! AAARRRGGGHH!!! cb - rats. violet - what are you gonna do about it charlie brown? youre nothing but a blockhead. cb - i am not a blockhead!! I just have a festivly large cranium. lucy - charlie browns a big blockhead, a big blockhead, a big blockhed! he's the biggest blockhead!! Monday & Tuesday he's a blockhead!! Wednesday through Saturday he's a blockhead!!He the biggest blockhead!!!! kids - laugh (sloopy comes in flying on his airplane doghouse & shoots everyone except CB.) cb - well, i guess it's just us now. Me & mans best friend. snoopy smiles slyly then bites cb's head off. sloopy gets a funny lookin face & says - Hideeeee Ho!!!

I am not quite sure how to spell it, either, but the teacher asked CB to spell autoeroticasphyxiation

Here's how much I know about it.

The basic ploy is the Peanuts Gang animated in world much like Southpark. The characters resemble much the same as the Southpark children personas. Here are some names I can remember plus the characters they portray...

Charlie Frown... A little bit of Stan Marsh and Eric Cartman, with a sprinkling of Kyle's Jewish background.

Lucy? (don't know name)... resembles some of Cartman's traits, but is still Lucy all around.

Sloopy (Charlie's dog)... A more aggressive version of the character, plus a himt of "Mr, Hanky" in him.

Slinus (Charlie's blanket-huggiing hippie)... Basically, the Kenny of the show.

There were others, but too numerous to list.

The most I got from the short was that in one part, the Lucy character organizes a religious doomsday cult (ala "Heaven's Gate") and gets all of the gang to join. Apparently, she redicules Charlie Frown and sings a song about him being a blockhead (ala "Kyle's Mom's a Big Fat Bitch" in D minor). Eventually Sloopy comes to Charlie's aid and kills all of the Southpark-nuts gang. He eventually kills Charlie as well and ends the show with Mr, Hanky's line "Howdy-Ho!"

I never got the see the beginning of this since I screwed up my VCR recording of this. Another little bit in it involves the classic football kicks that Lucy and Charlie engage in, but the football was replaced with dog (bleep).

I must say this:

EVEN AT ITS WORST, SP IS WAAAAY BETTER THAN THIS PARODY. IT SUCKED!

The whole foul-mouthed Peanuts bit was done much better nearly a year ago on Letterman's show (and since he works for CBS, he had the benefit of *real* Peanuts animation).
