'Cartman gets an anal probe'

I've watched this show from it's inception, but it had been a while since I'd seen the very first ep. I now know why I came back to this show last year after not watching for a couple of years. South Park has come a looong way. If people think South Park had "jumped the shark", it's now unjumped it. The satire, and double plot lines in the past three seasons are so much more intelligent, and funny than the first season. The first ep. was like watching 'Peanuts' with cusswords. Well not that basic, but you can tell how they've refined the characters over the years.

I've seen South Park's tribute to Monty Python (a video clip from the internet), which includes cameos from Michael Palin, and Terry Jones. That proved to me a deep connection between this show and British humor (which I prefer over most American comedies). What a great show.

I disagree. The first two seasons were the best, in my opinion. Some of the newer episodes were good, but not as good as those in the first two seasons.

I need to get the two DVD sets, but the only episode from those seasons that made me laugh as hard as J Lo, and The Crips/Reeve was 'Mr. Hankey' (the first ep.). Their writing is far more interesting and intelligent now. At least the pilot lacked a lot of what we see today, that's a fact.

That was the intended idea. Don't forget the jazz piano as the boys were walking. Now that I have the first two seasons on DVD, I realize there was an intended purpose for that. After the pilot, it became their own show. I think Matt and Trey thought that some idiot cable channel executive wouldn't understand the concept unless that was thrown in.
