It (TMB) is still not very funny. Sometimes it almost goes far enough to be funny, but the real thing (Smirky) is already a joke, so how much farther must you take it for it to work? Mister Fetus had possibilities, as did the execution bit, and George being too stupid to get the maid's set-ups ("This is a really big seat!"), but it just wasn't extreme enough. I think they were secretly hoping Gore would win. Now, a Gore-bot that needed daily rebooting could have been a lot funnier than a boob or an imbecile like Bush.
