oh come on! I resent that- I'm a "hardcore feminist" and I think South Park is the fucking funniest show on television. and the fact that you group feminism with religious fundamentalism is the stupidest thing I'm ever heard- they have nothing in common. When have you ever seen real feminists selling right-wing propaganda to gain power?
I think much of this comes from the cloning episode (I can't remember the name), where Cartmen keeps saying things like "[If some woman tries to beat me up] I'd be, like, 'HEY, why don't you get back in the kitchen an make me some pie!'" or words to that effect. Without an understanding of caricatural context, these jokes can seem to be chauvanistic, whereas, when they are put in the context of Cartmen's character, the humour stems from the audacity of the statement. Personally, I think people should lighten up a bit. <g>
