I thought there were a couple of episodes that weren't too horrible -- the one about Extasy and the one about Laura's "old pussy" were not nearly as execrable as the others.

I dunno, I got the impression they were only doing it because they *could*. They knew it would be "from the creators of South Park", and figured if it was bad and everyone screamed that it was awesome it would be time to just fuck it and buy the ranch. Plus I seriously doubt I'd be motivated to make it as good a show as I could if I was in their position. They know they're pegged as the "creators of..." no matter what. So why even try to top it? Wasn't there a Canned Ham or something where Trey said their band would become so incredibly famous people would go "oh wow, those are the guys who did South Park too?!?" Run that through any bullshit detector and you get what I said above.
