Why is the mailing list posting here?

I'm a bit confused as to why the mailing list is suddenly posting it's letters here. Most of them are one liners that make no sense. Although some of them actually have a point to them, most of us in the newsgroup already get the mailing list and it is too repititious. Shouldn't there be a different newsgroup for the mailing list?

I thought people posting binaries were anoying now we have to croud in a corner and discuss how things used to be while somone quotes a 100+ line message just to say "kick ass" at the bottom

No, there shouldn't be any damn newsgroup for the mailing list. The mailing list is its own entity, and does not deserve a newsgroup. Not this one, not any one. It's a waste of bandwidth to begin with, and now they're sharing the love gravy with us, and they're being a buncha dildoes, et cetera.

Because some asshole at MSU (who seemingly doesn't even read the fucking newsgroup) has decided to post every mailing list item he receives along with a 15-line footer including the blurb "the poster will not see your reply".

The appropriate newsgroup would be mail.southpark (or rather mail.<name of southpark mailing list>), which doesn't exist. (I'm not even sure if mail.* groups exist as newsgroups; maybe they need the type of software being abused in this case in order to work correctly.)
