Chef AID version?

I know there is a extreme and a normal version of Chef AID cd, i got the one that chef is in the cover with a groove style.

There are 3 different versions of Chef Aid and 2 different album covers. There are clean, explicit and extreme versions of Chef Aid. One cover has Chef and the boys on a groovy disco-esque style cover while the other cover has the boys at the Chef Aid concert with Chef on the stage. Which version of Chef Aid you have depends on the code number of your CD located on the left side of your CD case:

Extreme Version: CK 69790

Explicit Version: CK 69377

Clean Version: CK 69631

The 2 covers are available on either version. The concert cover is the easier one to find.

evidently I have the "Extreme" version. What I'd like to know is "what is so damned extreme in this version?" Rick James calling women bitches? I guess that I'd have to listen to the other versions to figure it out. Oh well.

One thing is that in the mere explicit version the word "nigger" is omitted from "Nowhere to Run" and "Will They Die 4 You". Another thing is that in "Mentally Dull" the sound clips from the original "Spirit of Christmas" were also omitted.

The other thing I noticed is that "Nowhere to run" in the extreme version contains swearing of the worst order that one would normally only find in 2Pac's and DMX's most objectionable output. Now, I'm no prude or anything, but I dislike words such as the m-f one implying incest with a vengence. I have been known to demand that songs like that are not played within my hearing. "Nowhere to run" is the one "song" I would have no hesitation in exorcising from Chef Aid.

Talking of DMX, I hear he's had yet another spat with the law, this time involving his fourteen pit-bull terriers. If anyone's interested, I can write a summary of the BBC Radio 5 Live account I heard on "Up all night" the other day. Among other things, Rod Sharpe (programme anchor) remarked on how many of these black gang-type rappers have got criminal records, including DMX, Will Smith, Puff Daddy and the like. To my mind this speaks volumes both about them, and those who like to listen to them, although I might be persuaded to retract that last comment.

I have the clean version and Rick James still calls women bitches in it, uncensored. I think it has to do with bleeping some words out in Nowhere to Run, Will They Die 4 You, and a slightly different version of Mentally Dull. That's basically it, actually.

from reading other post here evidently the word nigger is used quite often. I guess that my attention span is shorter than Homer Simpson's cause I don't believe I remember hearing it. I DO remember now in "Nowhere To Run" ODB rapping the words "suckin' my di*k".
