huge problems in Germany. I just asked for BLU in our local video store, but this lady just kept saying: "No, we will not import that movie". She said the german version is about to come on DVD and VHS, but as y'all might know: german suck ass. And, of course, SouthPark with german voices is just hella stupid. And I doesn't even have the possibility to order the movie (no credit card, shipping would be more expensive than the movie etc.). Somebody posted he'll leave the BLU files on a server to get downloaded, but I was just too late. So my question is: Is there another place where I can download the movie ? I NEED TO GET IT !!!! baaah..... Germany suxx..... anybody knows where to download ? Plz contact !!!

So the BLU download should cost him 1,8 DM x 40 = 72 DM. (sth like 36 USD). First of all, I (!) am not going to download the files. I use a 56k modem :-P But a friend has got ISDN and a provider where he just pays for traffic, but only between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm, so downloading after 10:00pm is free ! If that is no opportunity.... But if I see the DVD I definetly buy it, cause the movie is really worth it.
If he's using a modem, and paying by the minute, then obviously he would be better off buying the dvd. But he should do that anyway:) I have the mpeg file, but I'm still gonna get the dvd, simply because its better, and also because I don't want to rip off ComedyCentral. All I want to do is give people the opportunity to see the movie now, instead of waiting 6 months or so for the movie to be released in their country/location. btw, I just came from the cinema where I saw blu for the second time. There's just something special about being there I guess. Took my 10-12 year old cousins and a friend of theirs, and they absolutely LOVED it, naturally:) Obviously downloading movies from the net is for people with permanent connections, with speeds of isdn and up. However, since it is becoming more common to have flat rates, more people are able to be permanently connected without paying anything for the airtime. But still, not everybody has the speed required for downloading from irc (there's usually a limit of 10-20 Kbytes/sec), so I wanted to give them an alternative that also doesn't take a week to download. I chose homestead.com, because they give me unlimited server space for free. But homestead doesn't allow more than 5 megs per file, and only 16 megs per account, so putting up the 620 meg file is just too much work (splitting and zipping). So I guess the mpeg is still just for adsl/cable/t3 users. I did try to make a really small version of the movie, using realplayer, but it didn't get any smaller than 30 megs or so, and it was total crap. Not worth watching at all, so I stuck with the 80 meg file, which is surprisingly good. I would sure like to know how many people actually downloaded it. I have a counter on the page, but it doesn't tell me if the visitors actually got the movie or not. If you got it, please mail me at [email] and tell me.
