It dawned on me a while ago, that this new episode is to air on April 1st. Does anyone else find this even slightly unusual? Could this be a huge practical joke, having the whole world expecting a new episode and simply saying "April Fools!" at 10pm on Wednesday?
I personally will hope for a new episode, but will not be suprised if indeed it is a hoax.
What do you guys (and gals) think?

I've been thinking the same thing. I don't know that whole world is expecting a new episode, but I know that I am. But with all the hype that the show is generating, it would be the best opportunity to pull a hoax, and surprise the waiting fans.
If Wednesday night's new episode is an April Fool's hoax then why does Comedy Central plan on rebroadcasting it on Saturday and Sunday nights according to their schedule on their website? Of course, that schedule could be a hoax too and they will change it after April 1 and replace it with some repeat of South Park. God forbid Comedy Central plays an April Fool's joke on all of us and instead plays... I can't say it... VIVA VARIETY! NOOOOOOO! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NOOOOOOOO!
My roommate and I just realized that about two weeks ago. I have to figure that its all a practical joke, otherwise why would they have waited four weeks to show the new episode? And the way Comedy Central was advertising the new episode, they were making a rather big deal out of announcing that it was on April 1st. Then again, nothing I'm saying could be right, and we really could find out who Cartman's dad is. We'll have to wait and see.

No, Viva Variety didn't come from Russia. Remember the show on MTV called The State which was also lousy? Well some of the comedians from that show went on to make this terrible excuse for a parody of European variety shows. Just plain awful! Comedy Central should pull the plug on this dud and replace it with Terrance and Phillip. That April Fool's special, Not Without My Anus, was entertaining and funny. Not as funny as South Park but it sure beats the heck out of Viva Variety though.
