Not really. It can be attributed to the rise and fall of the Beavis & Butt-Head show. Frankly, I didn't really think it was all that great (I was still pissed off at the fact that MuchMusic stopped airing episodes of Ren & Stimpy in favour of "The Partridge Family", and then they started doing eps of Beavis & Butt-Head).
But back on B&B, the famous "Ironman" riff was something they constantly chanted "duh-duh-duh-duh-duh...duhduhduhduhduhduhduhduhduh-duh-duh... huh-huh"). That's one possible reason as to why Black Sabbath is recognized.
I think that's just about when South Park started to become popular and people got bored of Beavis & Butt-Head.
And to think I used to say to myself, "Why didn't they have this shit when I was a kid?!" I guess I didn't know how good I had it, did I?

Not here. MuchMusic still shows it every night around 11:30 or so (I'm usually channel surfing at that time, finding something quiet enough to fall asleep to).

It's almost impossible to explain without visual aid...basically what you did was separate the "cover" part from the "ring" part and use the cover to catapult the ring like a frisbie. It only worked with tabs the had "notches" in the ring though. I remember it was a big deal to have contests to see who could fling there's the farthest.
I still have nightmares about those tape drives.
I'm such a junkie....I've already got opening day for the new Star Wars movie off, and it doesn't come out until the end of May.

While I admit that the visuals in Star Wars are somewhat dated, I still find them more impressive than a lot of the crap that comes out nowadays, and a hell of a whole lot more impressive than the special eds. Why? They obviously put much, much more effort into them the first time around because they simply didn't know how to make them work at the time and just made it up as they went along. Now? They just slap it all together and call it a "movie."
Examples of this: Escape from LA, Species 2, Alien Resurrection...

I agree. Spanking is the only effective way to discipline kids. Just talking to them and telling them why they shouldn't do something just doesn't work. In fact, it probably makes them want to do something they're not suppose to even more because, well, rules suck, and, without proper discipline to enforce them, it's more fun to just ignore them because you know you can get away with it.
