Yes, I too noticed that and I was a bit dissapointed that the guys would recycle the lines, I don't know if they're trying to make trademark phrases or something, but I don't think that was too cool. Then again, it still was funny as hell. =)
2 things about T-giving episode
doesnt anyone ever get sick of "oh my god! they killed kenny!!"? every character on SP has some lines, get used to it. its not that big of a deal. why doesnt someone go complain to matt groening that homer says "doh!" every episode?

Because the Simpsons is still funny. SP is quickly becoming repetitious and dull. I find that I am becoming disappointed with the writing on SP. Read some of the posts on this NG...."Chef didn't sing this week"..."I hate/like the way they killed kenny this week"...etc. They're just doing the same things over and over, and they're lucky they have fans that seem to want to see the same things every week.

I agree. While I think SP still has legs, a month ago I said to a rabid fan friend of mine. "Lets see whats up when they have 100+ episodes like Simpsons." While no one bats 1000 Simpsons is still as fresh as it was 5 years ago. We can only pray that SP can last half as long & be half as innovative. One way to do that is to get some talented fresh blood on the creative side.
What the hell is wrong with you people?
Maybe Kenny's death wasn't REAL exciting but the rat in the eye socket was a classic. And if you are so tired of repetition, you should be HAPPY that chef didn't sing this time! And although, Chef as braveheart really cracked me up, the turkey braveheart inspiring the turkeys was one of the funniest things ever. (If I was an AOLer, I would have peeed my pants - hehheh sorry...)
I still love the show and I don't feel that it's lost anything. When it started, the best part was the 'shock value': ie - we couldn't believe they could get away with this stuff on TV. Now, the shock value is gone because we expect it. I think a few of you are just being too picky.
And while Simpsons is great, it was never as funny as some of the South Park senarios.

If the show is such a disappointment then DON'T WATCH IT! It's that easy, really. No one is forcing you to watch South Park, so if you're getting so tired of it watch the news or something.
So, when exactly did South Park become dull? The Thanksgiving episode with Sally Struthers hoarding a warehouse full of food in Ethiopia? The Halloween episode with Cartman as Hitler?
Falling into film-school dialect for a moment, I think that the defined episodic structure makes for a good counterpoint to the moments of high surrealism.
Besides, following the whole Simpsons comparison, they're still making new blackboard penalties and counch intros after all these years. I suspect there'll be plenty of amusing ways to kill Kenny for years to come.

If you think South Park is repititious, you should see "Death". Watch the Terrance and Philip show. Then you'll see a show that's all about farts. South Park Kicks @ NOA ChrisB

In the spirit of trying to find absurdly deep meaning in the phenomenon that is South Park, I would like to propose the following crackpop theory:
Kenny dies every episode because he is clearly the reincarnation of Prometheus, who tricked the gods, stole fire and gave it to man. Even though Prometheus was freed from his torments by Hercules, the gods merely waited for him to die so that they could bring him back and continue his punishment.
As the reincarnated Prometheus, Kenny is destined to die every episode and have his eyes torn out by mice.

Oh, my God... How could I have not seen it before now? Gus Porterhouse "You think it's broken? Let me make sure..."
I think Kenny is a highlander.

And since when is a high-pitched and muffled voice a substitute for a Scottish accent?

Interesting theory. To complete the analogy: Would you say that Kenny's 'gift' of foul language and expicit sexual knowledge is, to the south park children, equivalent to Prometheus' gift of fire from the heavens? Or perhaps Kenny is a modern-day Sisyphus, climbing the hill that is each episode, only to be 'cast down' from the hill by dying each time...
Um...I think they just think its funny that the little kid dies each episode. I do.
