Earth (Bigpong Style) calling ats...

Hellooooo. Anybody here?? My ISP has gone belly up in the Usenet department. That wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't the "premier" ISP. Bigpong indeed!!!!!

Gawd... they've always been 'orrible. Also, usually when they have Usenet problems - they are usually very BIG problems and/or take forever to correct said problems.

Bigpong are also virtually unique in having the UDP imposed on them (the Usenet Death Penalty) for rampant spam originating from Bigpong accounts. This is VERY RARELY done... I can recall a period of a week or so where the BPA news server was useless to use because our posts were blocked from propagating to the outside world - that was the UDP in action - before it was lifted and normality resumed.

Its always good to have a backup server just in case.

Yeah, for text use only I think you'll be set for a long time to come :) You could always also use it to grab the latest SP quickly, without eating up much of your quota...
