Mr. Mackey

     Mr. Mackey said that he hadn't fucked since he was in high school.
     But he had a girlfriend in the "Ike's WeeWee" episode.  Did T&M make a
continuity error?
     I have a couple of ideas in which they didn't:  1.) That Mr. Mackey and
his girlfriend didn't fuck, they just fingerpainted all that time. 2.) That Mr.
Mackey was so pumped up on drugs that he doesn't remember his girlfriend at
all.
     If the second point is true though, then Mr. Mackey and Miss Choksondik
might have to worry that Mr. Mackey's girlfriend might've passed a disease to
him, and then he passed it to Choksondik.  And how old is Miss Choksondik?  She
looks like she's in her 50's or older, in which case she doesn't have to worry
about pregnancy.  But if she's younger, then she does.

Another fact from the "WeeWee" episode that M&T seem to have forgotten about is that the reason why Mr. Mackey's head is so big is because his tie is tied on so tight around his neck, thereby building up the pressure and inflating his head. This point was lost on them when the two undressed in last night's ep.

Oh yeah, and I guess he only drank Mrs. Cartman's urine without actually fucking.

Maybe. They don't care that much about stuff like that.

I think that any disease passed would have shown up by then. Even HIV doesn't hibernate for that long, does it?

He could conceivably have had syphilis, which can be dormant for a very long time. But just how old are we assuming he is? I'd always supposed he was at least 50, though now I'm sure why. As for HIV, while it's never truly latent ('hibernating'), if undiagnosed it can be unnoticed for much more than 7 years. (Like everything else, it's a bell curve, but 7 years is below the middle.)

I wonder if the fundie screechers will be more annoyed that condoms featured so prominently in this episode or that the central sex scene featured them being willingly & indifferently omitted.

It's fairly irrelevant now because almost everyone who's diagnosed (in the developed world) is treated before symptoms show up. There never was a firm answer to "how long" (in untreated people) because (1) it varies with the strain, the patient's general constitution, and other factors, and (2) during the years of ineffective treatments it was impossible to know when most people had been infected, since the test was devised in 1985 and even the frozen-blood studies could only discover infections back to 1978.
