Hey everyone-
I may have missed the announcement, but was TV Funhouse canceled? If so, when and why? I just realized while watching a rerun last night that I haven't seen a new episode in months, and after some checking found that there are only 7 episodes, the newest being from January. When did this happen? (Forgive me for being slow, but I was on an internship all summer and didn't have access to Comedy Central or much U.S. news).

I think CC did cancel Tv Funhouse. I think it was too expensive to make, w/so little viewers. Because of the WTC incident, the president has become immune from all criticism and satire? He has become our 'Allah', folks.
As of today, CC now stands for 'Conformity Central'.
Like any commercial enterprise, they fear loss of revenue due to advertiser backlash. Advertisers, in turn, fear loss of revenue due to consumer backlash. Lame? Hell yes. Smart business? Until people start boycotting networks and other companies for being overly sensitive, the answer is -- unfortunately -- yes.
Showing a little grievance and respect for the victims is one thing. Giving political leaders unchallenged reign is something else altogether. I'm afraid we're destined for a culture of stifling conformity like we had in the 1950's.
Perhaps so, but CC did not pull TMB because of government pressure. (Not saying that you said they did, but CC has no obligation to be cool, as they've amply demonstrated time and time again.)
