such awful news this afternoon re the 11 and 13 year old boys who opened fire on their schoolmates.... killing 4 and injuring over 14 it seems... all girls. The boys wore camouflage clothes... and somebody rang the fire alarm, etc. Funny --- (not) -- it occurs to me that some pundit will soon have the idea that South Park has/had something to do with it. News folks and others, heck why not? it is possible -- love smelling-out stuff like this... that instinctive leap to the semi-obvious... A Shame this will be... for South Park blows OFF cultural steam -- it heals, not hurts.... but little ones are easily crazed. so, who knows. I just DREAD the inevitable hunks of pseudo-stories showing up here. And then the conspiracy split-offs... All perfectly exectable. Anyway, here we all go. I do so hope I'm wrong... but somebody soon is gonna run the clips of our boys in the woods with guns, eh wot? For God's sake -- we've ALL been insane since we dropped the Bomb. I mean -- there is no way to deal with that... The universe has been a-quiverin' -- set on meaninglessness -- ever since... Sure, it's a loony opinion, prehumps [sic] -- but no loonier than many or most. Our love of the Rational gave us science raised to evil -- the systematic horrifying cleanliness of the Nazis. Humans are like this -- we know it. How to deal... with ANY of it....? Garland Texas isn't my idea of a site for revelation.... no, all I can really do with any certainty and healthfulness is remember to laugh... Not to laugh at Tragedy -- but to recognize it as being our birthright. We really blew something big during WWII, I think. Something crucial just up and died -- or, we killed it. Pray or whatever y'all do for the young killed girls of Jonesboro... and all injured. What a world. Folks should stay home and watch more telivision, learn to think and laugh... Quel fromage. [sic]
