Seriously they do, and after seeing the lastest SP episode, I really can't stand them, LOL. There's a newspaper where I live,The Asbury Park Press, that has contests about once or twice a month. They give away either a free computer or $1000. The trick is that you can cut out as many Press headlines as you want. The more headlines you send in with the contest entry form, the better you have a chance of winning. So, who do you think has the time to sit there all day and cut out press headlines to try to win these contests??? FUCKING OLD PEOPLE!!!! And what REALLY pisses me off is that they DON'T need the money and they DON'T know how to use computers!!!! But somehow they always win the god damn prize. This really pisses me off and I would write the Press and tell them that they should have separate contests for people under 55. The thing is, I think I have a better chance of banging Stephanie McMahon then trying to convince the Press to change their ways..........

Yes, that's the other part of it! And the reason is because people who don't NEED social security are going to collect it anyway because they feel they are entitled. It's really just a welfare program that rich people can take advantage of. It would work if only the people who really needed he money took it then there would be enough for everyone who needs it, but of course almost nobody is going to refuse free money no matter whether they need it or not.
"Free" money? You pay for social security out of every paycheck you earn in your younger years. It's certainly not free. And if you payed into it, you're entitled to it, rich or not.

If they have paid into it, why shouldn't they be entitled to get some of it back? They way I look at it, the government is getting a loan from its citizens, using the money, and then paying you back less than what you paid into it (to say nothing of paying it back with interest.) Its a loan with NEGATIVE interest. I guarantee you, even if I'm making a million bucks a year when I retire (which is doubtful) I will take every dollar I can get from SS. Why? Because the way I look at it, it's MINE.

Chile (a South American country like California but with Spaniards and Degos instead of real white people) privatized their SS (They kept the old American-style system for those who wanted to stay with it but nobody did). It's been a huge success. Their economy is booming (by SA standards) from all the investment money and all workers have a nice nest egg to do whatever they want with when they retire or croak.
