Ticket prices...

I've noticed that prices for movie tickets are vastly different from place to place. I was just curious where some of you people are from and how much it costs for you to see an evening showing of South Park or any other movie? Here in the part of Houston where I live, an evening showing is $6.75. ______________________________________________________________________

I'm Chris S. from Toledo, Ohio. I saw this film at Franklin Park Cinemas (a National Admusements theatre) and paid $5 for a matinee showing. I've seen it two times already.

At the Station Casino 18 Theaters a matinee ticket is " about tree fidty."

I paid $5.50 for the "bargain" matinee in suburban Boston. I think the night-time price is $8.00

where I live the nite shows are around 4.50 to 5.25

At Celebration Cinema in good ol' Lansing, Michigan, it is $4.50 for a matinee showing and $6.50 for an evening showing. Plus, the theatres are brand new and have kick ass sound systems so it is damn well worth it!

Went Saturday evening, tickets were $7.50, matinees are $3.75-$4.75. But it's Phoenix, Arizona and matinees gotta be a good deal when it's triple digit thermometer readings out there!

We're at about 6.50-6.75. for the time I went at nite...it was about 4.50 when I went Sunday afternoon.

$4.00 for matinee (recently up from $3.75). $6.25 for evening shows.

On a side note, South Park is on 2 of the 14 screens at the local Tinseltown USA. Same with Wild Wild West and Star Wars. For some goddamn reason Big Daddy has the most screens with 3.

I can't believe I am the first poster from NYC where admission is 9.50 in the nice theatres. Someday we'll pay broadway ticket prices to keep up with what they pay these actors and directors to make the movie in the first place.

I've never understood how that can actually work. Like a new car for $19,999.99 somehow ISN'T really only a penny less than $20k and that's without tax, tag and title? Are people really so stupid that this sort of advertising is effective?

Oops, as a P.S.....the local theater is Hazleton, Pennsylvania. The drive-in is Berwick, PA. :)

Crap... here in Florida, the matinees are $4.50, adult pricing is $6.50, and students are $5.00.

If you want to go to a MUCH better theater (as in Pleasure Island's AMC theaters), adults are $8, students are $6, and I have no clue as to what their matinee prices are (if Disney even HAS matinee showings).
