Why? Ep#202

In Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Slut, Mephisto says the results of the genetic testing were in an envelope. But in Cartman's Mom is Still a Dirty Slut, after Mephisto gets shot Cartman is all pissed off because he didn't find out who his dad was. Why didn't he just look in the envelope? (I know I know, would have been a short show!)

Your statement implies Cartman's "mother" wasn't tested before the end of #113. Then who tested her/him? Mephisto was incapacitated for most of #202.

It would make sense to test Cartman's "mother" , for reference. But how Mephisto knew she was a hermaphrodite is another question.

Again, how did Mephisto know to test Ms Cartman? He must have, given that he knew she was a match for Cartman's DNA. But unless Mephisto knew about her hermaphroditeness beforehand? This is the most logical explanation, but an unexplained one. Mephisto's tone did seem to indicate pre-knowledge, but how?

Federal law (pretty sure the states require as well) all paternity tests require three tests. Test on the child, test on the mother, and the test on the father.

Therefore, he would have compared the test from his "mom" and him, and was able to rule out the other south park citizens.

I assume it's because the bullet went through the envelope, ruining any chances Cartman had of finding out whom his mother was. Until ep. 202, anyway.

He *didn't* know, apparently...there was a look of surprise on his face at the end of 113 when he looked at the "results", which would be just before the lights go out and he gets shot. (Nevermind he never actually "opened" the envelope.) So, I now have a *new* theory. His brother shot the window, leapt inside and stole the envelope! It's the only explanation! Watch it again...the "envelope" is there before he gets shot, and missing afterward.

Mephesto did mention all the men present, and he was surprised by the results. Kevin must have done the actual tests and handed the results to him, or he wouldn't have been surprised by the results.

Works for me. Funny how the envelope looks like a clipboard, though. This explains why he didn't open it.
