I just was rewatching the Chef's Family ep and there was a commercial for a new ep the following week about a new shop teacher. I had a vague recollection of thinking there was to be another new ep, but when I taped that week, it was a rerun of the XMas episode.
Did I miss something??

No... a couple of days before that episode was supposed to air, the Columbine H.S. shooting went down. Com Cen (I'm assuming in conjunction with Matt and Trey) decided to pull the new episode before airing it because it had to do with a teacher going nuts, taking a gun into school, and shooting someone.
You KNOW that assholes in the media, church, and government would have said that that SP episode influenced those kids had they shot up the school after the episode aired. As it is, all they could do was blame Marilyn Manson.
I hope that maybe in the future Matt and Trey will release the episode on video... with a fireside chat like the others where they explain that their episode was made before Columbine and they weren't influenced by it and so forth.
Interesting side note... I heard Trey actually attended Columbine several years ago.
