Ok, I have to say that I was damn pissed but I figured that something like that would happen, after all, it aired April 1, and naturally they were going to do something because of that.
So, is there any way of contacting Comedy Central and let them know what we think? After all, we've been waiting patiently for a month now, and I think South Park owes us for that. Ba-Bang!

Comedy Central & the SP creators don't owe you a God Damn thing!!!!! It just goes to prove that Trey & Matt have artistic integrity after all & didn't really care who they pissed of, & I respect them for that & will continue to watch SP, no matter how lame the "April Fools" episode was!!

Because I didn't feel my comments would be appreciated here, I refrained from coming into this ng and yelling at everyone to stop speculating on who Cartman's "father" is. It's one thing to sort of joke about it and talk about who would make the *funniest* or most appropriate father, but what was going on in this ng was far from that. It was like people *really* wanted to know. That scares me. It's a TV show. Not only that, it's a *cartoon*! Not only that, but the cartoon, itself, gives nobody *any* legitimate reason to want to know! I can understand getting emotionally involved with fictional characters, but caring about who Cartman's father is, seems to just be something to do because you've been told to. That's exactly what Matt and Trey did with the "cliffhanger" episode...they *told* you to care...not through emotional manipulation, but through very base and shallow spoonfeeding.
Regardless of all that, my point is that the T + P show was just as good and clever and cutting edge and satirical as it always is...there just wasn't any Kenny mumbling dirty words or dying, or Cartman eating Cheesy Poofs, or Kyle being a Jew, or Stan yelling the word "fatass".
All that was put out there last night was the core *unmasked* humor and backbone of the show...it was an episode of South Park with all the familiar chubby faces stripped away...and it was just as brilliant and entertaining as always. Anyone who's seen the show before (especially a number of times) would have to be blind not to see that.
As for "killing Comedy Central", why even *think* about doing that to the network that is ballsy enough to carry a show this cutting edge without censoring it too much or ruining it? That's such a scary thought that the fans could turn on a dime this way when they didn't get anything different last night than they ever got before. Brilliant job Matt and Trey!
