Hey guys, I know the movie hits American theaters on June 30, but please remember that us Europeans won't see it for some time yet; please don't spoil it for us!

If you see it and want to discuss it here, please use the standard Usenet convention of preceeding the subject line with the text "Spoiler: ". That way, anyone who can't, or chooses not to, see it can decide whether or not they want to find out what happens.

BTW, I have just returned from a vacation to Boston, MA. When I get my VISA statement I probably will kill Kenny. :) Suffice to say, I spent quite a few dollars in Cambridgeside Galleria on T-shirts and the like, and baseball caps and magnets and the like in Faneuil Market just off the Freedom Trail. And DAPY, at the Copley Plaza end of the Prudential Center, is well worth a look too--they do T-shirts, talking figures and the like. Surprisingly, Tower Records in the Back Bay (on Newbury and Mass. Ave) was a disappointment in this regard, although they do sell Cheesy Poofs!! Mind you, priced $3.99 for a 3 OZ pack was more than I was prepared to pay.

Well, if we waited until it was out EVERYWHERE, we'd be adding spoiler warnings for years. The convention followed in other newsgroups is usually that once the movie has been released, it's fair game. If you don't want to know, don't read anything that looks like it might be about the movie.

BZZZZZ wrong. Usenet faqs say to always include spoilers in posts regarding new movies, books and such. It's just downright fucking rude to go spouting out spoilers and ruining the movie for others. It doesn't take much to add SPOILER to the title of a new thread and a dozen or so blank lines at the top.

The convention on most non country specific NG's is to mark headers with spoilers and leave spoiler space in the body of the message.

By your reasoning, everyone in the USA who wanted to see the SP movie will now have seen it and will not require spolier space. I don't really think that is the case... do you?

But in any case... Spoiler space is a common courtesy that, someone asking for, should not ever be rallied against.
