Musical South Park

I really don't like taking time to say this, but some people just need a good pep talk.

I read a post a while back that was written by a guy who HATES musicals and detested the recent holiday episode of South Park. This is to him and others like him: you have to realize that most of the work done by Matt & Trey is MUSICAL, so if you don't happen to like musicals, tough luck (why do you think the movie was a musical?). They won't change the episode (which I thought was very funny) to suit your needs. So probably the best thing for you to do is adjust to or accept their style of comedy. The South Park of today is not what it used to be exactly. If a person had stopped watching during season 1 and then watched the holiday musical episode, they would be shocked. This is probably because of the bigger budget the show has now and the increase in freedom; Matt and Trey are showing their true colors even more than before. This is how the show remains very funny even after two seasons and unpredictable. This message is not a flame, it is just used to clarify what you might not already know.

How is he a troll for pointing out the obvious? Trey did "Cannibal-the Musical", which is guess what? a musical. The movie was a musical, and many of the episodes have involved some type of song at one time or the other. And wasn't Trey a music major or something like that in college?

Leespam's absolutely right. That's their style, and you have to get used to it. If you won't, then no one's forcing you to watch. Fine- some people don't like musicals. Well unfortunately for them, Trey and Matt (Trey especially) like putting songs in their episodes, and they're gonna keep on doing it. If you don't like it well, too bad. News flash people- we're not going to like everything they put out. Hell, I thought that "War" was horrible. I hated "Succubus", "Jakovasaurs", and some other episodes that don't come to mind right now. But did I bitch and cry about it when I saw it? No.

So for those who complained that Trey and Matt made the movie into a musical, or put out too many musicals in the first place- get over it. They don't give a shit of what you like and don't like. They'll continue to make whatever they want to make. If you didn't like an episode for whatever reason you have, get over it and wait for the next one, which you might enjoy. Either deal with it, or don't. It's your choice.

The musical numbers are the funniest part of the show. I didn't even like South Park that much until I saw BLU. Ever since then I've been watching the show faitfully. How can you NOT like the music? It's so damn clever and smart. Maybe Trey doesn't want to move onto something else. The show is great how it is. If you're so sick of musical numbers than watch another show. Like Pokemon. I don't think Pokemon does musicals.

BTW Cannibal is the funniest fucking movie ever. Hang the Bastard was hilarious.
