i love the show south park because of the smart-ass humor. im 27 and most people i work with are around 25 and older and most enjoy the show. my brother is 17 and he says most people his age dont like it. id like your opinion. i think its a comedyfor people from college to people in their early 30's. id like to know what u think? i beleive that south park is going to be the next big thing.hell, it probably already is.

My father (who doesn't have cable and likes to borrow my South Park tape which I add to every week) will be 69 years old this year and he loves the show. I just turned 34 and I love the show. My son who is 7 (and YES I let him watch the show and have told him not to say the dirty words they say and he complies) loves the show. So if you averaged our ages it would be 7 + 34 + 69 = 110 / 3 = 36.66 (ad infinitum). See South Park fans can do math!!!! I am even a programmer!

I'm 20. And the show is the biggest thing in my dorm suite...the others are 20, 21, and 21 I think...

My whole family watches is. We're 10, 12 (we try to keep these two from watching it, cuz they're a little young) 14, 17, 18, 21, 24, and 51. Tape every episode. I happen to be the 14yr old, female, and none of my friends at school have Comedy Central, so I lend the tapes out to my friends, mostly juniors and seniors. they love it. they hear about it from their older sibs at college who all watch it, it's a big religious deal for them, congregating to watch South Park. I love it.

Judging from the majority of posts in this newsgroup, most SP fans are 14 year old boys who can't spell, punctuate, or even think very coherently. They almost all use AOL and have an amazing command of the extended keyboard characters. They favor HUGE sig files, most of which point to their own lame pop-culture web sites build solely for some ego gratification kick which I don't quite understand. They enjoy SP because it's got a bunch of little kids doing physical humor and sorta talking dirty. Of course, they tell others that they watch it because it's deep and insightful and making a statement on society if you can just look past the grade school kids talking dirty. Though when pressed, they're unable to explain just what exactly is deep and insightful about SP and what statement it is that they're making.

Just judging by the newsgroup though. ;)

Uh, I hate to break this to you but the majority of posts to this thread are over 30 years old. I am 27 and watch the show every chance I get. It has become one of the only shows I watch on TV at all.

My whole family watches it and it is about the only time duing the week that we all get together and watch. I'm 20 and college educated, i have a sister who is 17, a brother who is 14 and two parents ages 43. All their friends watch it, and tons of people I work with do also (adults) It is about the funniest thing out there right now and not just bullshit like Melrose place or something like that.

I am 24 (and really *would* vote libertarian if I thought their concepts would work :-)) and have to agree with you, regrettably. I fear it will go the route of B & B in that its first episodes were the best (I thought the latest S.P. episode was pretty lame, it had the same childish antics without the depth of wit that MADE the others great). I really thought some of the original B & B episodes were brilliant, but the writing took a nose-dive. I would hope S.P. would be more like "The Simpsons", in that the characters grew dimensionally and the show hit its stride in the 4th season. But alas, that is the exception...9 out of 10 series which get renewed seem to lose dimensions by the 4th season or so ("Murphy Brown" being one example that comes to mind...Jack Kevorkian should have put that show out of its misery YEARS ago).

Also, this mushrooming popularity can't possibly be good for the show's development. Oh well, I could watch that first episode 100 times and still get some good laughs. :)

As for UHF the reason its probably hard to find too many people that know about it is because its like a cult movie. I don't think this is totally true. I am under 20 (okay, only by a little), and I have heard of both these comics, and think they are very good at what they do. Comedy Central shows Gallagher shows all the time, and Weird Al has (I believe) a couple videos out for rent. Most people will probably know who Gallagher is if you mention the Sledge-o-Matic.
