I was just wondering.Why are Matt and Trey bringing south park to an end?Is it because of Mary Kay's suicide?Because they want to work on more films?Because they want to concentrate on DVDA?Because they want to retire and move to Hawaii so they can finally get married to eachother?Because Kenny Kitty had his life cut short so long before his prime?Does anyone have an actual answer to this,rather than just guesses?Just curious.

Where have you read that this was a reason? Link would be appreciated. I have never heard this posited as a reason before.

No. The show didn't completely end because his characters were minor, but I'd wager if a major cast member, like Hank Azaria or Dan Castellanetta died suddenly, they would probably have little choice but to stop doing the show. Yep. Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure were expendible, not part of everyday life in Springfield. The Simpsons could survive, and has survived, without them. South Park could not survive without the boys' mothers, the Mayor, or Principal Victoria, unless they take to using muffled horns to indicate the adults as "Peanuts" has always done. But the new voice artist has taken care of that in part.
By the way, Mrs. Flanders is due to be killed off soon. The woman who voiced her also voiced other characters, but quit the show last spring when her request for a modest raise was denied. The episode name?

They haven't said this, although they've said they want to get out of Hollywood as soon as the show ends.
Possibly. They said early on that they made the first few episodes to earn some money and then concentrate on the band if the show flopped. But I don't think anything they do after the show will be as big as South Park.
I wouldn't put it past them.
